A subject I have asserted for some twenty years myself but have always felt it was put to the side by healthcare leaders that could make changes in the places where I worked.

I have always thought I was missing something when I would speak to managers etc .about this topic and would watch their facial expressions change denoting no interest.

External customers (patients) may bring dollars to the organization but if your internal customers (staff) are not well cared for too then your organization will never be very good and in all likelihood fail. Such a simple concept that seems to be overlooked so much of the time. I wonder why.
